Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

Print and file pick lists
Scheduling incoming and outbound delivery appointments
As trucks come in operator is to retrieve the truck number from the driver, verify the number, and give instructions for where to park for loading.
After loaded, driver return paperwork/pick list to operator, operator verifies and signs out driver, enters into system and prints Bill of Lading
Shipping clerk direct driver where to deliver, verify paperwork (receipts), enter information into computer system
Operator must us 2-way radio to communicate to truckers and shippers
Operator communicates with corporate on problems surrounding outbound loaded truckers pick-lists
Operator adjusts warehouses pick-list where necessary
Operator signs off on load variances
Schedules inbound pick-up appointments
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industry preferred
Minimum 1 year of counter-balance forklift operating experience (Recommended)
Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
Manual dexterity
Attention to detail
Fluent in verbal and written English

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
