Shipping/ Receiving Supervisor - Machine Shop

We are looking for a Shipping Receiving Supervisorto join our team in Reginaand oversee the Shipping and Receiving department. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, and be able to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all areas of the process. The Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, delegating work, managing and maintaining an organized shipping area, cold storage building and yard, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing customer service when needed.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of shipping and receiving personnel

Prepare our customer's order for shipping by ensuring completeness of the shipment, proper protective packaging, and accurate shipping documents.
Receive materials and inspect incoming shipments for condition and completeness of the received order.
Stage material throughout the shop and in Cold Storage facility
Ensure proper identification, protection, and placement of the materials.
Operate forklift
Operate overhead crane
General shop clean up
Schedule freight carriers
Maintain an organized shipping receiving area, yard and cold storage facility
Train new receiving personnel on proper procedures and protocols
