Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.
• Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and on time, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate shipping staff to enhance performance and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse personnel to manage stock efficiently.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving shipping efficiency and reducing costs.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
• Collaborate with other departments such as sales, customer service, and logistics to resolve any shipping-related issues.
• Conduct regular audits of shipping processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a shipping or logistics environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using shipping software and technology; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
