Overview
The Shop Coordinator is a position where you will oversee and coordinate the ongoing shop operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed correctly, thoroughly, and safely. This will include tasks such as prioritizing incoming orders for shop staff, checking outgoing orders for accuracy and completeness, and assisting customers with order pickups and drop-offs. The position will require you to liaise with customers to ensure customer satisfaction. This will include following up with customers, taking orders, and coordinating shipments for customers across Canada. You must ensure that the shop operations, shipping, and receiving is progressing efficiently, within budget, and meeting safety & quality standards.
A Shop Coordinator must have excellent communication skills to liaise between employees, management, and customers. They must also have strong leadership skills to motivate and manage employees, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues that arise.
Responsibilities.
- Coordinator and oversee the daily shop operations, shipping and receiving.
- Manage customer relationships with phone calls and emails.
- Ensure that workers follow safety procedures and regulations.
- Oversee the quality of work performed and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Communicate with upper management and clients to ensure satisfaction with work performed.
Requirements and Skills
- Multiple years of experience in a shop environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of the industry and job-specific tasks
- Experience working in a managerial position
