Join our dynamic team at History Barbershop, a 2-location shop in Midland Ontario. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for all our patrons. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Barbershop Assistant to support our busy shop and enhance our customer experience.

Position: Barbershop Assistant

Location: Midland, Ontario
Type: Full-time/Part-time Available

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for our patrons. Greet customers with a friendly demeanor, manage appointments efficiently, and answer the phones promptly. Manage booking system, and answering service.
• Shop Maintenance: Ensure the shop is clean and organized. Take care of barber towels and maintain a tidy environment.
• Errands and Inventory: Drive between locations to run errands for supplies and manage shop inventory with precision. A valid driver’s license is required.
• Product Sales: Sell men's grooming and gifts, cigars and beer, ensuring compliance with regulations. Must be Smart Serve certified.
• Cross-training: Opportunity to be trained in shipping duties as needed. Also aid with events, trade shows, initiatives and more.
• Analytical Skills: Utilize strong analytical skills to improve shop processes and overall performance.
• Management Component: Must be able to take direction and give direction effectively in our fast-paced environment. Manage time off request, staff attendance records.

Qualifications

• Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Smart Serve Certification: Required for selling cigars and beer.
• High Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and optimize shop operations.
• High Performer: We seek someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivers outstanding results.
• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is a plus.
