Carbonex Contractors Ltd. is looking for an experienced and motivated Shop Lead to coordinate daily operations in our yard and shop. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and hands-on experience in oilfield construction and maintenance.

General Responsibilities

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and daily activities in the yard and shop.
• Perform and supervise pressure tests, coordinate NDE and 3rd-party services, and communicate project progress to the Shop Manager.
• Work closely with the QC team to ensure efficient progression of pipe and beam projects.
• Report all incidents, near misses, spills, non-compliance, and unfit-for-work cases to the Shop Manager.
• Enforce and promote safe work practices, company policies, and health & safety rules.
• Coach and mentor new employees, model company values, and effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

• Pressure testing experience is an asset.
• Extensive industry experience in oilfield construction, fabrication, or maintenance.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and disciplines.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong analytical/computer skills required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with 3–5 years of driving experience and an insurable abstract.
• Safety-sensitive position – drug testing required.

Schedule

• 10-hour days, Monday to Friday.
• Shift 12/2
• Overtime may be required during peak project periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
