Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Shunt Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate should have good communication skills and be able to work well with others. Be able to follow safety protocols, and have some mechanical aptitude. Prefer class 1 driver or at minimum some tractor trailer experience (standard transmission) Shift is noon till all loads in 32-40 hours per week, ideal for a semi retired individual,
Responsibilities
- Safely move tractor trailers within facility into receiving station, preparing the trailers for unloading
- Washing trailers after unloading, moving trailers for reloading bay and supervising the reloading process
- Follow specific time schedules
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- All driving is on site, shunt drivers do not load or unload trailers
Experience
- Tractor trailer experience with Manual transmission
- Good mechanical aptitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
