About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Reporting to the Manager, Simulation, the Simulation Technician will contribute to the integration of the academic
mission and goals within the framework of the patient experience. This position is responsible for providing
technological support to simulations carried out in the simulation laboratory in particular with the high fidelity
mannequins. The Simulation Technician will work with various Simulation Laboratory users to create simulations for
education as well as create effects for added reality.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
* Post‑secondary education in a healthcare related discipline
* Minimum of 5 years related work experience
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent computer skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Experience in operating and trouble‑shooting Simulation Software
* Experience in web‑based learning technology and use of videoconferencing equipment
* Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
* Experience in development of education materials
* Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Self‑directed with an ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Assets:
* Previous experience in medical simulation would be considered an asset. A clinical background is preferred
Salary Range: $37.846 to 44.526
