David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd is a family-owned business, providing a wide range of high-quality civil engineering, utility infrastructure and residential construction services and solutions throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a Site Agent to support the delivery of civil engineering and residential construction projects across the Leinster / South East region.

This is a full-time role suitable to a candidate who wants to progress their career in the civil engineering industry with a recognised industry leader.

Minimum Requirements:

· Civil Engineering, Construction Management or trade background with relevant site management experience.

· 5+ years’ proven experience as a Site Agent (or similar role) on civil engineering projects including groundworks, roads and utilities.

· Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.

· Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

· Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

· Ability to manage multiple work fronts and prioritise tasks effectively.

· Good understanding of health and safety and quality control requirements on site.

Main Responsibilities:

· Lead and coordinate site activities to support the delivery of civil engineering and residential construction projects from commencement through to completion.

· Oversee site works including surveying, checking of works, quality control and coordination of subcontractors and trades.

· Ensure site quality assurance checks and materials testing (including sieve analysis, CBR testing and concrete cube sampling) are carried out and properly recorded.

· Maintain accurate site records including site diaries, quality records and photographic records.

· Monitor progress against programme and assist with planning, programme tracking and resource coordination.

· Assist with progress reporting, cost control and valuations in conjunction with the project team.

· Identify and resolve technical and site issues as they arise and report key issues to management.

· Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, support departments and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
