Site Engineer – Residential Construction

Location: Co Galway

About Us

We are a mid-sized construction fast growing company delivering approximately 100 residential units per year in the West of Ireland. We pride ourselves on high-quality builds, strong relationships with stakeholders, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with 3–4 years’ experience in residential construction to join our team. The successful candidate will work across all stages of housebuilding, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance while liaising with subcontractors, design teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily site engineering activities on residential projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and BCAR requirements.
  • Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and the wider project team.
  • Provide technical support to site management teams and resolve engineering issues.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure works are completed to the highest standard.
  • Set out, level, and survey the site in line with project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate site records including QA documentation, as-built drawings, and progress reports.
  • Attend site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Assist with health & safety compliance and site inspections.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3-4 years’ experience in house construction / residential developments.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and BCAR processes.
  • Excellent site experience with setting out, surveying, and quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors and design teams.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of project management software is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €40,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
