About Strescon
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, operations-focused Site Erection Auditor to ensure structural erection activities meet all quality, safety, and specification standards. This role is ideal for a Civil Engineer (EIT or P.Eng) or Technologist with a strong field presence and a passion for precision in construction execution.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site audits of erection activities, focusing on structural connections and installation quality.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Sign off on completed work and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
- Serve as the field liaison between engineering, erection crews, and quality teams.
- Apply PCI Erection Certification – Auditor training to uphold best practices and safety protocols.
- Provide daily feedback and reporting to site leadership and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support transition planning for future plant operations responsibilities.
- Communicating effectively with both staff and management
- Additional duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
- Civil Engineering degree or diploma (EIT, P.Eng, or Technologist designation)
- PCI Erection Certification – Auditor considered an asset
- Strong understanding of structural erection processes, connection detailing, and field installation standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, erection plans, and technical specifications
- Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures in field environments
- Proficient in documenting inspections and sign-offs using digital tools or field reporting systems
Business Requirements
- Ability to coordinate with erection crews, site supervisors, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with project goals
- Strong documentation and reporting skills to support compliance and audit trails
- Capable of identifying and escalating non-conformances and recommending corrective actions
- Understanding of project timelines, cost implications, and operational efficiency
- Willingness to support transition planning toward plant operations and leadership roles
