Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the capability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The successful applicant will contribute to the construction and assembly of structures, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Execute joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians, plumbers and plasterers.
• Construct frameworks for roofs, walls, and other structures as required.
• Perform plumb checks to ensure accuracy in installations.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with material handling and installation.
• Follow project specifications and plans accurately.

Experience

• Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential.
• Familiarity with electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Experience in masonry work is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly as part of the job requirements.
• A strong understanding of construction processes and techniques related to roofing is beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
