Job Title: Site Manager
Reports To: Project Manager
Job Summary
The Site Manager oversees the daily management of either a large construction site or multiple smaller sites, ensuring that Vision Contracting Ltd (VCL) processes and procedures are effectively implemented. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while strictly adhering to the company’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality protocols. For large, multi-sectional, or highly complex projects, the Site Manager may work as part of a broader team on-site. However, they may serve as the senior leader, taking full responsibility for the overall management and successful delivery of multiple sites.
Key Activities
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals efficiently.
- Skilled in planning, organising, and executing construction projects within scope, time, and budget.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve on-site challenges effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and the latest building regulations.
- Expertise in implementing and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple site operations concurrently.
- Confident and effective in making sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Ensuring quality standards are met in every aspect of construction activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster cooperation among diverse teams.
- Capable of adjusting to changes in project scope, schedule, or unforeseen site conditions.
- Competence in using project management software and tools like Microsoft Office.
- Dedicated to meeting client expectations and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Education & Experience
- Relevant third-level education or trade qualifications.
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience working in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of current building regulations and certification standards.
- Experience working with both main contractors and subcontractors.
