The Opportunity

Townmore is continuing to expand its presence in the Cork region and is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team.

We are looking for a strong all-round construction professional with solid site management experience who is comfortable managing the day-to-day delivery of a busy construction project.

Of particular interest is someone with good experience of Irish Water / Uisce Éireann requirements, utilities, drainage, external works and coordination with statutory bodies and local authorities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Irish main contractor with a growing pipeline of work in Cork and genuine long-term career opportunities.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, working closely with the Project Manager, commercial team, subcontractors, consultants and site personnel.

You will have a strong focus on programme, quality, safety and coordination, ensuring works are properly planned and delivered to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day construction activities on site
• Drive the programme and ensure key project milestones are achieved
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site personnel
• Manage Irish Water / Uisce Éireann requirements and utility coordination
• Oversee drainage, services, external works and associated infrastructure
• Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, consultants and design teams
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the site
• Coordinate inspections, testing, snagging and handover requirements
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor on programme and project delivery
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting
• Identify potential issues early and work proactively with the project team to resolve them

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with an Irish Main Contractor
• A strong all-rounder with experience across different stages of construction
• Good working knowledge of Irish Water / Uisce Éireann processes and requirements
• Experience with drainage, utilities, services and external works
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme management and site coordination
• Good knowledge of BCAR, quality management and Health & Safety requirements
• Strong subcontractor and people-management skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and coordinate with design teams
• Construction Management, Civil Engineering qualification or a strong trade background
• Organised, practical and solutions-focused approach to project delivery

Pay: From €80,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
