Responsibilities
The Site manufacturing lead is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the overall manufacturing operations of the organisation, ensuring efficiency, driving growth, and maintaining operational excellence. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong engineering background, startup and scale experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in managing diverse teams and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the COO to develop and execute the company's strategic plan, focusing on operational efficiency, growth, and long-term success.
Operations Management: Optimise all aspects of the organisation's operations, including production, logistics, supply chain, customer support, and administrative functions.
Engineering Oversight: Leverage engineering expertise to guide the development and optimisation of products, processes, and systems, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Startup and Scale Experience: Apply experience in startup and scale environments to rapidly adapt and grow the organisation, ensuring operational efficiency and scalability.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of functional leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation, leveraging lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
Change Management: Lead and manage organisational change, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and successful implementation of new strategies and initiatives.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity and protect the company's reputation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, investors, and employees, promoting the company's vision and values.
Communication and Reporting: Regularly communicate operational updates, progress, and performance metrics to the COO, Executive board, and the broader organisation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related field; degree in business or operations management
Proven experience in senior leadership roles within operations management in a clean room environment, with a successful track record in driving growth and operational excellence, preferably in startup and scale environments.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
Demonstrated experience in change management, process improvement, and risk management.
Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
