Site Safety Coordinator

Liberty Safety Company is looking for 1 temporary Site Safety Coordinator needed at the Customs and Border Patrol Substation off the 5 FWY in San Clemente, CA . Must be a USA citizen and be able to pass a federal background check, (SITE IS HIGH SECURITY, BACKGROUND MUST BE CLEAN). Looking for a 1099 Contractors and looking to establish a long-term relationship for future contracts.

Pay Range - $35-$45 DOE

Per Diem - $125 a night for overnight stay

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

- Must be able to conduct meetings with client and Border Patrol Staff.

- Conduct safety meeting/tool box talks with other contractors.

- Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 Construction and EM 385 1-1 regulations.

- Provide safety training and education programs for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures

- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities

- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures

- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations

- Fill out reports daily of job progress.

Required Qualifications:

- 24 or 40 EM 385-1-1 Certificate

- First Aid/CPR

- OSHA 30 Hour - Construction

- 24 Hour Fall Protection Competent Person

- 5 years of construction safety

- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, & EM 385 regulations and compliance standards

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (Not Required)

- Understanding of roofing construction

- OSHA 510/500 - Construction

- CQM-C

- 24 Hour Fall Protection Competent Person
