Skilled Apartment Maintenance Person

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in facilities maintenance. This role is crucial for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Conduct residential painting tasks to ensure aesthetic upkeep of the property.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing resident concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Assist in the development of preventive maintenance programs to enhance facility operations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
• Experience in facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of residential painting techniques.
• Familiarity with CMMS software is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are essential.
