Small Business Advisor

Reporting to the Commercial Department leader, the Small Business Advisor enriches the lives of SCCU’s small business members by understanding their financial needs, helping them achieve optimal financial health, and building long term relationships. This role requires the individual to have a strong knowledge of investment and credit products (both retail and commercial), business development skills and management of a portfolio of small business and retail accounts. The incumbent will provide mobile services and is available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. As well as attendance at various community and business development activities as a representative of the Credit Union is required. This position requires a knowledgeable, results-oriented professional who demonstrates a focus on member centricity, financial wellness, and social impact. As travel is a requirement of the role, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.

What Does the Ideal Candidate Bring?

In addition to formal post-secondary education and financial industry experience, we are looking for an individual who would like to continue their Advisory Services career. Someone who has superior communication, time management, prioritizing skills and is self-motivated to build and grow the membership of the credit union. The successful incumbent will be adept at problem solving, decision making, establishing strong working relationships, and demonstrating excellent sales and communication skills.
