About Us

Hire Station is a family-run plant and tool hire business in Edenderry, Co. Offaly, serving customers across the Midlands, Leinster, and beyond. We are seeking a fully qualified Small Engine Mechanic to join our team and contribute to our growing business.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of small engines and power tools.
• Work with leading brands, including Stihl, Oleo Mac, and Husqvarna.
• Service Segway Navimow robotic lawnmowers (training provided if required).
• Assist customers with technical queries and product recommendations.
• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls related to repairs and customer inquiries.
• Work independently and manage workflow efficiently.
• Assist on the shop floor as needed, providing advice on garden machinery and plant equipment.

Requirements

• Fully qualified small engine mechanic with relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of garden machinery and plant equipment.
• Experience working with Stihl, Oleo Mac, and Husqvarna machines is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
• Comfortable interacting with customers in person and over the phone.
• Experience with Segway Navimow robotic lawnmowers is desirable.
