CanWest is seeking a new Shop Mechanic at our Calgary location.

As one of Western Canada’s leading concrete cutting and coring companies, we can solve any concrete problem. We provide concrete cutting and coring services for projects of all sizes, from large industrial projects to small residential jobs. We handle walls, floors, foundations, slabs and curbs. Essential responsibilities and job duties to include

• Checking engine oil in vehicles and equipment
• Servicing fleet vehicles, equipment, and immediate work area
• Repairing diesel engines, and various others
• Move tools, equipment and materials as required
• Welding, electrical, and trailers

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ticket or equivalent experience is required for this position
• 1+ years experience in Mechanical
• Must be able to work independently
• Class 5 license or greater is required
• Must have your own tools
• Welding will be considered an asset
• Preferred experience in wiring breaks and small engines repairs

Starting wage will be based on experience.
