Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented smoke shop Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

1. Customer Service:

• Assist customers with product selection, offering knowledgeable recommendations on tobacco products, vaping supplies, and accessories.
• Answer questions about products, including usage, safety, and regulations.
• Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and efficiently.

2. Sales and Transactions:

• Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle cash or credit transactions accurately.
• Upsell products when appropriate, suggesting complementary items to increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

3. Inventory Management:

• Stock shelves with new products and ensure items are properly displayed.
• Monitor inventory levels and inform management when stock is low.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.

4. Product Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the latest products, trends, and industry regulations.
• Educate customers on product features, usage, and legal requirements.

5. Store Maintenance:

• Keep the store clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Ensure all products are correctly labeled and priced.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including age verification for tobacco purchases.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

• Follow all local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale of tobacco, vaping products, and accessories.
• Ensure all sales are made to customers of legal age, checking identification when necessary.

7. Security:

• Be vigilant about shoplifting and report suspicious activity to management.
• Follow store procedures for handling emergencies or incidents.

8. Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions as required.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.

9. Promotions and Marketing:

• Assist in setting up and promoting special offers or sales.
• Engage with customers on social media or in-store promotions if required.

10. Training and Development:

• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on products and sales techniques.
• Help train new employees as needed.

These duties can vary depending on the specific smoke shop and its offerings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.23 - $13.00 per hour
