Key Responsibilities

API & Integration Development, Testing and Deployment
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable, secure, and reusable APIs that meet current and future business needs.
  • Develop integrations between enterprise applications, databases, cloud platforms, AI services, and third-party systems using approved integration and API management platforms.
  • Create and maintain mappings, transformations, orchestration workflows, and reusable integration components.
  • Implement API security controls, authentication, authorization, subscription management, RBAC, and other data protection mechanisms.
  • Design solutions according to enterprise architecture, API standards, and governance guidelines, ensuring alignment with business and system requirements.
  • Participate in API reviews, design approvals, and lifecycle management activities including versioning, monitoring, enhancement, and retirement.
  • Support the development and integration of MCP services and AI-enabled capabilities through secure and governed access to enterprise systems and data.
Documentation, Analysis & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and system owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain API specifications, integration designs, technical documentation, user guides, and operational support documentation.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in API design, reusability, security, governance, and system integration.
  • Facilitate communication between development teams and system owners to resolve technical issues and align development objectives.
Innovation, Operations & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support APIs, integrations, MCP services, and production environments to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and support incident resolution for integration and API-related issues.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and test emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and integration patterns to identify opportunities for innovation and business value.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, operational efficiency, platform scalability, and reusable architecture.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in backend development, specifically with API development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET.
  • Experience with API security measures, authentication, and authorization protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and API management and testing tools (i.e. SnapLogic, Mulesoft, Azure, Postman, Apigee).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a cross-functional team environment, particularly within an IT organization focusing on modular architecture.
  • Proven ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders and systems.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Certification in relevant backend technologies or frameworks.
