Snow Equipment Operators – Join Our Winter Crew!

If you enjoy working outdoors and want to be part of a supportive, hard-working team, this is the job for you! Our Snow Removal Team plays a vital role in keeping our sites safe and accessible for customers throughout the winter season.

We’re currently seeking experienced and reliable Snow Equipment Operators to join our winter crew and help keep our lots clear and safe. We have positions in Kanata and Orleans available but this posting is for Kanata positions. See our other postings for Orleans jobs.

Positions Available:

  • Tractor Operators (L6060) - 3 available positions
  • Pickup Truck Operators (with plow) - 7 available positions

Schedule & Availability:

  • This is a weather-dependent, call-in position.
  • You will be assigned a 12-hour availability window (Monday to Sunday), during which you must be ready for call-ins.
  • For example, if your scheduled window is 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and snow needs to be cleared during that time, you will be called in to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be available for all scheduled 12-hour windows (Monday to Sunday).
  • Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Work safely and efficiently in varying winter conditions.
  • Operate assigned snow equipment (tractor or pickup with plow) with care.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a working cellphone for call-ins.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience operating snow equipment (tractor or pickup with plow).
  • Valid G Driver’s License with a clean record.
  • Strong work ethic, motivation, and attention to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work long hours during snow events.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • No minimum education required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to the shop (Kanata or Orleans).
  • Steel-toed boots required.

Contract Duration: November 16, 2026 – April 11, 2027
Dedicated and reliable team members may be offered a full-time landscape maintenance position following the winter season.
