Social Care Worker (SCW)
Location: Donegal
Contract: Full-time / Permanent
Service Type: Residential Services – Adults with Disabilities
Role Purpose
The Social Care Worker will provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with disabilities, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with legislation, national standards, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care in line with individual support plans
- Support service users to achieve independence, choice, and quality of life
- Promote safeguarding, rights, and advocacy
- Support emotional, behavioural, and social needs
- Participate in care planning, reviews, and risk management
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports
- Support medication management as per policy and training
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Essential Criteria
- Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
- Experience working with adults with disabilities or complex needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible shifts
Desirable Criteria
Experience in residential disability services
Knowledge of HIQA standards and inspections

Eligibility to work in Ireland
