About the Role

MoChairde Healthcare Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Care Workers to join our residential care team in Cork. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to young people in a therapeutic residential environment, supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs in line with HIQA and Tusla standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people.
• Implement placement plans, risk assessments, and individual care strategies.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential daily records and incident reports.
• Ensure full compliance with National Standards and Child Protection guidelines.

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum QQI Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Social Care (or Level 7/8 in Applied Social Studies, Psychology, or related discipline).
• Experience: Experience working in a children’s residential setting or young people's care service is strongly preferred.
• Licence: Full clean Irish / EU driving licence is mandatory.
• Vetting: Garda Vetting and satisfactory reference checks are required.
