Job Description: The Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching middle

and high school students (up to Grade 10) towards excellence in the subject. The ideal

candidate will be able to inspire a love for Social Science, engaging students in a way that

fosters critical thinking, curiosity, and a deep understanding of the subject. The teacher will

follow the school’s liberal philosophy, contributing to a dynamic and inclusive learning

environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 Teach Social Science to students from Grades 6 to 10, ensuring that all lessons are

aligned with the CBSE curriculum.

 Inspire students to develop an interest and love for Social Science by making lessons

engaging, interactive, and relevant to real-world issues.

 Plan and execute effective teaching strategies, incorporating a variety of instructional

methods to cater to different learning styles.

 Guide students through CBSE-required assignments and projects, ensuring they

meet academic standards and develop essential research and analytical skills.

 Foster an inclusive classroom environment, encouraging open discussion and

respect for diverse perspectives.

 Continuously assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to help

students achieve academic success.

 Participate in school events, workshops, and professional development sessions to

stay updated on the latest educational practices and contribute to the school's

growth.

 Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the school leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: B.A in Political Science, Economics, History, B.Ed. (Mandatory)

Experience: 3 to 4 years of teaching experience up to Grade 10

Skills:

 Complete knowledge of the CBSE Social Science curriculum and exam

requirements.

 Fluency in English with strong communication and classroom management skills.

 Ability to plan, organize, and deliver lessons effectively.

 Passion for education and a desire to inspire young learners.

 Prior experience teaching Social Science at the middle and high school level is

preferred.
