Social Service Specialist Assistant

Job Overview
The Social Services Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting individuals and families in need of social services. This position involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, provide support, and connect them with appropriate resources. Duties

• Conduct assessments
• facilitate care plan meetings
• over see ABN program.
• over see the 142 program.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and goal-setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive service plans.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of social work principles and practices.
• Experience working with individuals with the elderly is preferred.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and behavioral health resources.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism.
• Proficiency in conflict management techniques is highly desirable.
• A degree in social work or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
