Social Worker - Grade 1

We are offering brilliant positions for any Social Worker looking to build and develop the foundations of their Grade 1 journey particularly within the first 3 years of their career!

About the role
We are seeking a Social Worker to join our Social Work team!
You will have relevant hospital experience and be able to work within a strong multidisciplinary team.
To be successful, you will need to have a good understanding of social work theories and apply them to hospital practice.
It will be essential to have a sound understanding of complex discharge planning within an acute hospital setting.
The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, other disciplines, and community stakeholders.
This is a fast-paced environment and requires timely and quality discharge planning and the successful candidate will need to work flexibly, creatively and collaboratively.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Holds a degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for membership as a practicing Social Worker.
- Maintains compliance with the AASW Continuing Professional Development Policy in order to meet the Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standard.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced health environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic knowledge of the relevant legislation and frameworks
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
