Are you an experienced or developing Engineer/Technician looking for a varied and challenging new role? Do you have experience of soft drinks, beer, coffee or similar dispense within the beverage industry? Do you want to work for a growing & reputable company who provide first class support and Quality Assurance to Global soft drinks company, as well as one the largest fast food chains in the world? If so, this could be just the job for you!
SDMS Ltd are an industry leading family run business of 20 years + who are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile Engineer/Technician to complement our friendly and dedicated team.
Our business has been steadily expanding over the past 8 years; providing quality assurance, auditing, consultancy and installation to some of the worlds largest and most successful food and drinks companies. We are immensely proud of our reputation as a small firm with a big heart- delivering a professional, honest and reliable service to our clients, whilst ensuring our staff feel valued, nurtured and supported.
You will be part of a team delivering our award winning QMP (Quality Maintenance Programme); providing 2 x bi-annual visits to each McDonalds store in your given area. Each visit focuses on the quality of the soft drink being served...and doing whatever we can to ensure the customer receives the perfect drink at each and every visit.
Your quota of jobs (6 per week) will be scheduled by our office team and will normally be allocated in the same postcode area. Schedules are planned 1 month in advance so you will always know where you will be. The majority of McDonalds Restaurants in Ireland are located in the ROI- which will form the main basis of your workload. However, we have just under 40 Stores in the Northern Ireland (amounting to approx. 11 weeks per year) that will be included in your schedule. Dependent on the home location of the successful applicant, those weeks may require you to stay away from home. Please be assured that time away from home is always spread out to minimise the impact on family/personal lives.
You will need to be prepared for early starts (which are often rewarded with early finishes!) - and you'll be pleased to learn that there are NO WEEKENDS OR SHIFT WORK!
It is an exciting time to join our company- through innovation, new technology and improved processes we are making huge strides towards raising industry standards. As a result we were honoured to receive McDonalds 'Supplier of the Year' award for the 2nd time, in 2024.
We are looking for a committed and driven individual, who demonstrates a flexible approach and above all, a can do attitude. The work is physically demanding and at times, requires you to work in small/awkward spaces- for that reason a good level of general fitness, is a must.
In return you will benefit from a competitive salary, bonuses, laptop/phone, & company credit card, as well as free accommodation & a generous food allowance if you are ever required to stay away from home.
You will allocated 20 days holiday plus 10 public holidays per year , as well as additional time off over Christmas (a least 5 days that is given as no contractual additional annual leave). A company van will be provided for your use, with all fuel costs and parking covered.
Additional Perks inc. Employee Assist Package (EAP) which includes discounts and freebies with major brands and service providers, a Health & Wellbeing Programme giving access to GP advisors and an all expenses paid Team Christmas Party for you and your partner/ + 1 - usually in a country manor/premium hotel.
You will have the support of a strong and committed Leadership Team, alongside an experienced Management Team who are all respected Engineers in their own right. You will feel confident that you will always have someone at the end of the phone (whether office or field), who not only understands the job but who can support & navigate you through any challenges you may face.
If you would like to be considered for this exciting role within the SDMS team or would simply like to find out more, please submit an up to date CV and we will be in touch!
