  • Follow best practice and work with the engineering managers and other team leads to foster an environment of engineering excellence.
  • Be a test first advocate to ensure test and test automation is built in from first principals.
  • Communicate across scrum teams to ensure the team is not blocked and that teams are aligned on architecture and strategy decisions.
  • Manage the teams Jira and ensure tickets are up to date.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within an Agile team to deliver enterprise level systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, computer/electronic engineering, or related science discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience running a team of engineers within a scrum team.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to engage in technical discussion and build consensus.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Agile practices particularly Scrum and running agile teams.
  • Ability to lead conversations with internal and external customers to better understand requirements and prioritise tasks.
  • Strong understanding of modern development practices such as SOLID principals or a strong understanding of modern testing principals such as TDD and BDD
  • Good understanding of software delivery practices such as continuous delivery and integration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of SAFe and how to implement it within an organisation
  • Experience of the Azure cloud platform or another cloud provider
  • Working knowledge of .Net and C#
  • Experience of unit testing and unit testing frameworks
  • Previous exposure to software projects that were implemented in a Microservices architecture using domain driven design, event sourcing and CQRS
  • Experience of a software development environment testing RESTful APIs and creating automated solutions to do so

Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave + 2 company days
  • Health Insurance
  • Pension Contribution
  • ESOP
  • Tax saver scheme
  • Bike to work scheme
  • Sports and social activities
  • Great annual office outings (Summer BBQ, Christmas party, charity runs)
  • Bits & Bobs days (Half day every quarter to get your Bits & Bobs done)
  • Learning and Development Opportunities
