Software Specialist (Cloud Engineer) - SRE - Infrastructure Services platform

As a Cloud Engineer in Infrastructure, you'll be part of our team at the forefront of ASB's growing maturity in Azure (and to a lesser extent AWS). In the Engineering Practice at ASB, we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to improve customer outcomes continuously.

You'll bring public cloud systems engineering / support experience with solid IT infrastructure knowledge. You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritization - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued. We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities:

• Automate and support infrastructure deployments in Azure, AWS and On-prem with infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and build tools to enable productivity.
• Monitoring, alerting and reporting on environments.

We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and leadership skills as we look for every engineer to lead from their position.

With regards to background, the following capabilities are a must:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or all the following: Terraform; BICEP), CI/CD pipelines (especially ADO), version control systems (Git).
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks.
• Enterprise networking and Security knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (can balance the level of technical detail for the right audience, and can clearly articulate problem statements)
• Works collaboratively and comfortable taking ownership of work/issues that deliver to user/business outcomes.
• Have base understanding of cloud adoption framework.
• Azure certification AZ-104, AZ400, AZ-500 and AZ700 are preferred.
