Action Electrical is currently seeking residential and/or commercial Solar PV Installers of all levels. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks each day and must be able to perform a full range of assignments such as: read and follow designs, install complete systems, and inspect/test systems in both startup and troubleshooting situations. Candidates must have had exposure to the Canadian Electrical Code.

Currently Action Electrical has multiple commercial Solar projects that will be completed over the winter months followed by a full spring/summer/fall schedule for both residential and commercial projects.

Job Requirements

· Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification required.

· Fall Arrest and Elevated Work Platform tickets are preferred but not mandatory.

· Valid class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required.

· Knowledge of the principles of Solar PV installations including roof-mount, ground-mount, microinverter and string inverter systems.

· Competent in the use of hand and power tools and test equipment.

· Mechanically inclined.

· Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching.

· Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders and/or aerial platforms and comfortable working from heights.

· Strong organizational and planning skills.

· High attention to detail and take pride in workmanship.

· In town work – usually Monday to Friday shifts (incentives for out-of-town work)

Action Electrical offers:

· Competitive Wages – Solar PV Installer rate of $18.63/hr. to $26.08/hr. Compensation based on experience.

· Vacation/general holiday pay of 11% (not included in above rate)
