Due to our continued expansion, Activ8 Solar Energies are actively seeking a Solar Service Technician to join our operations team in the South of Ireland. The position will cover the counties of Cork, Tipperary, Limerick, Kerry and Waterford.

The Opportunity:

As a Solar Service Technician you will produce bespoke solar PV designs for domestic homes and complete and submit technical reports regarding each installation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for evaluating technical suitability of materials and equipment.
• Develop material schedules and take-offs from drawings.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems for our solar installations.
• Service existing Solar PV & thermal systems.
• Manage solar preventive maintenance (O&M) customer relationships.
• Offering a high level of technical support to all customers
• Oversee RMA handling, including detailed recordkeeping, inbound/outbound tracking of RMA equipment.

Requirements:

• Prior solar PV and/or electrical & Plumbing experience an advantage.
• Previous administrative experience within a construction or electrical company.
• Solid technical and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of Irish building regulations would be an advantage also.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule efficiently.
• Physical fitness and comfort with working at heights (training will be provided if necessary).
• Proactive problem-solving mindset.
• The position is field-based, requiring visits to residential properties Monday to Friday.
• Be available to travel across the required counties as needed.
