The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world class last mile operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and in the most cost effective way possible. The European Amazon Logistics organization is looking for a customer focused, analytically and technically skilled S&OP analyst to join our team. This person will be responsible for bringing efficiencies and reduce costs using data analysis and visualization tools and processes’ to support our growing Amazon Logistics business in Europe. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of analyzing, synthesizing, and communicating critical data to drive improvements Amazon Transportation Network. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize planning, execution, and process improvement, while tracking progress against key organizational goals. The role requires an individual with in-dept analytical abilities, good business acumen, and the capacity to lead forums for alignment between teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at writing comprehensive documentation and reports that add value to the Transportation Planning Organization, as the role is part of the . This position will work closely with the S&OP Peak Captain to lead critical processes in the Amazon Transportation Event Planning/Execution space, while also engaging with other parts of the business in forecasting and capacity planning initiatives. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities: • Lead strategic alignment between Transportation Planning/Analytics and operations teams to drive improvements in Transporation Event Planning and Execution, ensuring actionable insights are delivered to key stakeholders. • Partner with Middle and Last Mile Planning teams to optimize network capacity and forecasting, while establishing documentation and governance processes for cross-organizational alignment. • Drive process improvements and establish forums for continuous feedback between teams, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy across critical parts of the network. • Analyze large-scale logistics data to identify trends and opportunities, delivering comprehensive analysis and recommendations to senior leadership that influence strategic decision-making.
- Master's degree in related field
- Experience with forecasting methodologies and capacity planning in operations environment
- Knowledge of transportation/logistics operations and high-volume event planning
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
- Experience working with large-scale data sets and SQL
- Track record of implementing process improvements in complex organizational settings
