About the role

This position reports directly to the VP Spare Parts at Tritium and this role is based in Amsterdam.

The Returns specialist is responsible for proactively ensuring new parts are validated as per the approved process between Tritium and parts supplier.

The role will also be responsible for managing the return of all parts from the field from customers, their service agents and our internal service agents. The person will need to manage what parts are returned and how returned parts are treated – repaired, RMA to supplier, scrapped. Arrangement with key customers will need to be agreed to ensure we get at least 80% of warranty parts returned.

Additionally, the role will be accountable for resolving all supplier related issues for parts failing in the field during the warranty period.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Organise and sort returned parts for the field.
  • Raising Non-conformances as part of continuous improvement process where required for business.
  • Perform quality inspections when resourcing constraints dictate.
  • Support Management in implementing Quality Management System at work place and be a part of implementation team for achieving ISO9001-2015, ISO14001, TS16949 required for the business
  • Maintain awareness of Tritium WHS policies and procedures
  • Adhere to Tritium WHS policy and procedures and report violations, incidents or near misses
  • Attend and actively participate in Production Tool Box and Quality meetings where necessary
  • Develop and grow the businesses reputation and always act promptly to up-hold the business’ reputation.
  • Support other areas of the business from time to time.
  • Manage defect landscape for area of responsibility, supplied parts quality. Raising NCRs to suppliers and drive RCA resolution at the supplier side.
  • Use of business tools such as NetSuite, Jira systems (Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR), Concession (QCon), etc.) and Engineering Change Management tools, etc. to perform duties and meet targets.
  • Quality Reporting - dashboard development and data / report update and presentation into various forums and meetings.
  • Lead and attend project or quality meetings as required to submit feedback, discuss, and resolve issues.
  • Assist Supply Chain and Suppliers to develop their quality processes to meet Tritium’s Quality requirements
  • Work with and assist various internal departments for Quarantined and Scrapped parts identified & returned. Focus on Supplier actions, driving the Quality portion of the overall process.
  • To proactively update and develop Quality processes with responsible parties as required to simplify, reduce time, improve quality & throughput to assist the overall business.

About you

  • BSc/BA in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Manufacturing, preferably-Mechatronics) Engineering
  • Quality Engineer roles especially Supplier Quality (SQE)
  • Experience in interaction and the development of effective working relationships with production, suppliers and field quality engineers
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and drive a strategic agenda
  • High energy levels to ensure successful project delivery or turnaround success
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • People coordination - cross functional
