Responsible for accurately kitting spare parts for both standard store jobs and fabricated components across AG & CN lines. This role ensures timely preparation and movement of spares, maintaining stock accuracy, and supporting production and shipping through effective materials handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spares Kitting:
- Kit spares for both standard store items (e.g., cylinders, pin kits) and fabricated parts.
- Prioritize and kit urgent jobs received from the Spares Coordinator (e.g., Lauren), especially those requiring same-day dispatch.
- Epicor MES Transactions:
- Complete job operations within Epicor MES system.
- Ensure spares are moved into the correct inventory locations.
- Default correct locations in Epicor for future consistency.
- Labelling & Identification:
- Manually print and apply yellow labels showing both the spare part number and the customer part number.
- Stickers to be placed on parts and pallets\trays
Storage & Movement:
- Transport kitted spares to designated storage areas.
- Ensure all pallets are labelled and placed correctly.
- Manage put-away of fabricated spares coming from Phase 2 & 4.
- Inventory & Stock Control:
- Maintain housekeeping and stock accuracy in the spares area.
- Perform annual stocktakes and support cycle counting activities to identify discrepancies.
- Job Coordination:
- Receive spares from Phase 3/Service Centre, identify required components, and coordinate necessary steps (e.g., send for tack/weld or painting at Phase 4).
- Liaise with the Spares Coordinator to track job status and escalate urgent requirements to relevant departments.
- Issue Investigation:
- Investigate why jobs fail to receive into stock using job tracker.
- Highlight potential BOM issues to engineering for resolution.
- Packaging:
- Coordinate with the shipping department to determine responsibility for packing of kitted spares.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Epicor MES or similar ERP systems
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
- Good communication skills for cross-department coordination
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize urgent jobs
Desirable:
- Experience in inventory management or materials handling
- Knowledge of barcode and label printing systems
- Ability to suggest or implement process automation improvements
Pay: From €16.00 per hour
