We are looking for a reliable and caring individual to join our team at Mamaroneck High School as a Teacher’s Aide.

POSITION: Special Education Teacher Aide

LOCATION: Hommocks Middle High School

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week

TIME: 7:50am - 3:20pm, with a 30 minute lunch

SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal

DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: Immediately

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor the health and well-being of students
• Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration
• Willingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training
• Data collection and implementation of behavior plans
• Assist daily transitions which included lunch and recess
• Support of students with accommodations per their IEP
• Collaboration with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s success
• Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all ages
• Experience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: High School Diploma

Pay: $25,689.00 - $29,948.00 per year
