Special Educator
Job Title: Special Educator
Location: Vadakara
Employment Type: Full-time


Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Educator to join our team. The Special Educator will be responsible for providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs. The role involves creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting teaching methods and materials, and working collaboratively with a team to promote inclusive learning environments.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Individualized Instruction:


    • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans based on students' IEPs and individual learning needs.
    • Modify teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various disabilities and learning styles.

  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring:


    • Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
    • Modify teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic growth and development.

  • Classroom Management:


    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
    • Manage classroom behavior effectively while ensuring students' social and emotional well-being.

  • Collaboration:


    • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure consistency in learning and behavior management.
    • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and specialists to develop integrated learning strategies.

  • Support for Social & Emotional Development:


    • Provide social and emotional support to students, helping them develop self-regulation and interpersonal skills.
    • Promote positive behavior and encourage self-confidence and independence.

  • Documentation & Reporting:


    • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and educational outcomes.
    • Prepare reports for parents and other stakeholders as required.

  • Professional Development:


    • Stay up-to-date with the latest practices in special education.
    • Attend training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities.


Qualifications:


  • Educational Qualification:


    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (B.Ed. or D.Ed. in Special Education).

  • Experience:

fresher/experienced
