Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, enhance and support enterprise ServiceNow solutions for Sun Life. The role requires strong ServiceNow platform development, workflow automation, integrations, ITSM process knowledge and the ability to convert business requirements into scalable, secure and supportable technical solutions.

The ideal candidate should also be able to support TPRM-related workflows and the TCRM Challenge Tracker scoped application, while partnering with business stakeholders, architects, administrators, support teams, BSAs and testers across global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance ServiceNow solutions: Develop applications, modules, workflows, catalog items, dashboards, reports, forms and automation aligned to business needs.
  • Own technical delivery: Analyze requirements, estimate effort, design solutions, configure/develop changes, support testing and manage deployment readiness.
  • Support ITSM and domain workflows: Deliver enhancements across ITSM areas and TPRM/TCRM workflows, including assessment, approval, due diligence, risk review and closure activities where applicable.
  • Develop platform components: Create and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, UI Pages, UI Macros, Notifications, Flow Designer flows and workflows.
  • Enable integrations: Build and support secure integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, LDAP, SQL, Web Services and other enterprise integration patterns.
  • Maintain security and controls: Configure roles, groups, ACLs, domain separation and data security controls in line with governance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize: Investigate platform issues, perform root cause analysis, debug defects, improve performance and reduce recurring incidents.
  • Collaborate globally: Partner with business owners, architects, administrators, BSAs, testers, support teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Document and transition knowledge: Maintain design specs, release notes, deployment guides, test evidence, operating procedures, troubleshooting notes and KT materials.
  • Contribute to agile delivery: Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, design reviews, code reviews, testing, release management and platform upgrades.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4-8years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
  • Strong ServiceNow platform knowledge, including architecture, data model, development standards and release practices.
  • Strong JavaScript development skills and experience with ServiceNow scripting/configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, Service Catalog, Flow Designer, Workflows and Update Sets.
  • Experience designing and supporting integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, LDAP or similar technologies.
  • Experience in testing, debugging, troubleshooting, deployment and production support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ServiceNow Implementation, ITSM, GRC, TPRM, HRSD, ITOM, CMDB or custom application experience.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Orchestration and Integration Hub.
  • Experience leading development initiatives, mentoring junior developers or acting as a technical lead.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, cyber/security requirements, governance and compliance controls.
