Middlemore is the largest hospital operated by Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora. We offer secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services for the population of Counties Manukau - the area that stretches from Otahuhu to Port Waikato.

We also provide niche specialist tertiary services for regional and national consumers in orthopaedic and plastic surgery, burns, spinal injury rehabilitation, renal dialysis, and neonatal intensive care.

Middlemore Hospital is the main hub for acute care and referral services within Counties Manukau District. It is an accredited, teaching hospital of Auckland University and University of Otago and caters for most medical and surgical specialties with a catchment area of around 600,000 people.

About you

As a Specialist Medical Officer – OB/GYN You should be either registered or be eligible for vocational registration within the scope of General Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Current Annual Practising Certificate with the NZMC or the ability to be awarded one.

Eligible to work in New Zealand
Either Registered or be eligible to gain registration with MCNZ
