As Specialized Laborer working in the Civil and Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will work in close collaboration with all workers. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will ensure the coordination and execution of work in the civil engineering & infrastructure sector, commercial, institutional, industrial sector, heavy civil engineering & urban earthworks.

What you will do :

• Assist specialized crews and support the completion of site work.

Supply materials to the jobsite, perform grading, install and/or assist the crew with the installation of sewer and watermain pipes, etc.

• Operate and properly use the tools and equipment provided.
• Master the tools at your disposal, including a hand truck, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, screwdrivers, drills, jackhammers, compactor, etc.
• With appropriate training and a valid card, the laborer may be required to use handling and motorized equipment such as forklifts, aerial work platforms, etc.
• Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards.
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting work environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and other trades on the site.
• Care for and maintain small tools and site equipment.
• Carry out all other related operational tasks.

This role is made for you if you have:

• A valid CCQ occupancy card.
• A 2015 ASP Construction & WHMIS card.
• A valid driver's license – Class 5.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
