Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders. Through integration and collaboration, we’re building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau-centred care, and excellence.
About the Role
Are you interested in using your specialist skills to make a meaningful difference for young people with mental health challenges? We need you in the Child, Adolescent & Family Mental Health Service (CAFS). This is a sole position across the Service, working fulltime (80 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday.
CAFS has several outpatient teams that provide assessment and treatment of young people up to 18 years of age. These young people have moderate to severe mental health problems, and their family involvement is important too. You’ll be a key clinician working as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing speech language assessments and interventions for our clients. Some travel may be required for Outreach clinics – we cover Kaikoura to Ashburton.
If you are a Registered Speech-Language Therapist with a real interest in mental health, we are interested in you! We can provide training opportunities for working within a mental health setting, and staff can apply for relevant postgraduate courses.
This is a demanding and challenging role working alongside supportive teams to meet the complex and changing needs of our clients. You will develop and regularly review your job plan and workload with the Clinical Manager.
Please include a cover letter.
