JOB DESCRIPTION

Designation: Science Lab Teacher / Laboratory In-Charge

Roles & Responsibilities

• To organise and conduct science practical activities as per the prescribed curriculum.
• To prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, chemicals and other materials.
• To assist subject teachers and students during practical sessions.
• To ensure proper functioning, cleanliness and maintenance of the science laboratory.
• To strictly follow laboratory safety rules and ensure students' safety during experiments.
• To maintain laboratory stock registers, issue registers and other relevant records.
• To ensure proper storage, handling and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
• To demonstrate scientific experiments and practical concepts effectively.
• To check and maintain laboratory equipment regularly and report any damage or shortage.
• To ensure discipline and proper behaviour of students inside the laboratory.
• To arrange practical materials and resources before scheduled laboratory sessions.
• To perform any other duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.

Reporting Authority: Principal / Science HOD / Academic Coordinator.

Primary Objective: To provide a safe, well-organised and effective laboratory environment that promotes practical learning, scientific curiosity and hands-on experience among students.
