Job Profile - Sr. Area Business Manager – Chhatisgarh

  • Experience: 4+ years (Medical Equipment)
  • Budget: ₹7–9 LPA
  • Education: B.Sc. / B.Tech
  • Industry/Product Experience: Biomedical / High-Value Capital Equipment
  • Mandatory Experience: Government tenders and institutional sales
  • Base Location: Varanasi
  • Territory: The candidate will be required to cover the complete UP region

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and business development for medical simulation products across the assigned territory in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Develop and manage relationships with medical colleges, hospitals, nursing institutions, government healthcare organizations, and institutional customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market mapping, prospecting, referrals, institutional networks, and customer engagement.
  • Conduct effective product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and solution-oriented discussions for clinical, academic, technical, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, opportunity development, commercial negotiations, tender participation, deal closure, and post-sales coordination.
  • Identify relevant government and institutional tenders and drive the tender process in coordination with internal teams.
  • Work closely with customers and internal technical teams to ensure appropriate product specifications and technical requirements are incorporated into tenders.
  • Manage government procurement processes, including coordination with relevant stakeholders and adherence to institutional procurement requirements.
  • Develop territory-specific sales strategies to achieve revenue and business development targets.
  • Coordinate with regional, national sales, presales, and technical teams to ensure effective customer engagement and timely execution.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, opportunity, and customer information through CRM and internal reporting systems.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market developments, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities within the territory.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market intelligence, pipeline status, tender opportunities, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure a professional customer experience throughout the sales and post-sales lifecycle.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related discipline
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in medical equipment / medical device sales.
  • Mandatory: Proven experience in government procurement and tender-based sales.
  • Experience handling high-value capital equipment, preferably medical devices or healthcare technology solutions.
  • Experience working with government hospitals, medical colleges, healthcare institutions, or public-sector organizations will be highly preferred.
  • Candidates with established institutional and government healthcare networks in Uttar Pradesh will have an added advantage.
  • Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of government and institutional sales and procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to manage tenders

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
