Sr. Program Manager, Extended Producer Responsibility

This role requires working with different business owners across organizations to define the strategy, requirements, and timelines as well as lead complex cross-functional initiatives. This position involves regular communication with senior management on roadmaps, program updates, risks, and change management. The person in this role is a subject matter expert in product compliance, and works with business leaders to overcome obstacles to enable revenue growth and cost reduction efforts.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute complex multi-disciplinary projects across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Identify and lead complex initiatives aimed at growing Amazon revenue and/or reducing the operational cost of compliance.
- Present strategic roadmaps and project reviews to senior leaders across Amazon.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/businesses by understanding product attributes to drive compliance solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with our legal, business and technical teams to ensure compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.
The Extended Producer Responsibility team in Amazon assesses environmental compliance requirements worldwide and ensures adherence with post-consumer waste regulations. We drive innovative solutions across Amazon that are simple, efficient and scalable. We protect the environment through the adequate collection and recycling of waste for our customers.
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience in internal audit and risk management or equivalent
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Large-scale program management experience including cross-team coordination, project management, and communication across multiple stakeholders.
