We are looking for a Senior IT Solution Architect to join our Oslo office and help drive digital transformation for national and international clients. At GE Vernova, you will be part of a dynamic Global Delivery organization, working alongside skilled Project Managers, Data Engineers, and Solution Architects with diverse backgrounds and expertise.

In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate closely with key clients, field sales, delivery teams, and product development to design and implement cutting-edge solutions. Leveraging your seniority and technical expertise, you will guide Norwegian and international energy clients in optimizing productivity, profitability, and cost efficiency. Your experience in IT projects enables you to provide strategic direction, coordinate smaller teams, and ensure that solutions align with business objectives, customer needs, and project constraints.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design.
• Transform high-level business and integration requirements into concrete development tasks.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and design workshops with clients and stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients towards optimal solutions and long-term success.
• Ensure operational responsibility and support agreements for delivered solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to align customer needs with product development.
• Stay ahead of emerging energy trends and technological advancements.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or 6–10 years of experience in software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, OpenAPI, Swagger, AsyncAPI, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proficiency in JSON, XML, and other relevant data formats.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to align technical solutions with business objectives and navigate complex organizational structures.
• Excellent facilitation skills for leading workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the energy and utility domain, including SCADA, IT, and software commissioning.
• Experience with technical project management and solution delivery in complex environments.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent.
