SENIOR SCHOOL TEACHER – RELIGIOUS STUDIES & ASSISTANT CHAPLAIN
FULL-TIME, TERM 1, 2025 START


Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Religious Studies and Assistant
Chaplain to join our Senior School team, commencing Term 1, 2025.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a full-time position based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.

Teachers at Cranbrook take an active and enthusiastic part in the full life of the School,
including involvement in the School’s co-curricular program requiring work outside normal
teaching hours.

and other teachers. You are committed to continual professional development and
reflection, and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people.

SELECTION CRITERIA

— NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales (required)
— Demonstrated skills in teaching Religious Studies to senior school students and the

ability to teach HSC Studies of Religion
— Sound knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and current teaching and

learning theory and practice
— Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the

diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical
practices to maximise learning

— Experience with a range of online platforms, including Learning Management Systems,
to support learning and provide feedback

— Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning needs
— Creative mindset and ability to design interactive and dynamic lessons
— Organisational skills to manage schedules, events and student records
— Commitment to support and advance the mission of the School and to be an active

member of our independent Anglican community
— A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural

incident
— Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
— A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
— A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when

engaging with children.
Anglican ministry experience in a co-educational or girls’ school environment and
experience with the International Baccalaureate MYP or DP would be advantageous.
