Focus

This is a full time position for stacking fruits boxes, packaging and sorting various fruits and vegetables on a production line.

Key Accountabilities

• Remove defective fruit, report quality and/or maintenance issues to Production Lead or Production Supervisor, and place it in specified area(s)
• Stack boxes safely and efficiently according to warehouse procedures.
• Examine containers to ensure packaging specifications are met
• Measure, weigh, and/or count fruit and place it into packaging container, by hand and/or using machines such as spouts and/or chutes
• Frequently lift and move boxes of produce between pallets throughout the day.
• Assemble packaging containers by hand and line containers with paper, cardboard, prepared padding, trays, and/or separators
• Report quality, maintenance, and safety issues to Manager or Supervisor
• Completion of other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Previous experience packaging, sorting and grading in produce industry is preferred

Working Conditions

• Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week
• Work outside ordinary office hours may be required with occasional overtime

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 45lbs
• Work in cooler environment
• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must show proof of double vaccination
