Desired Expertise and Skills:

The following experience matters to us for this position (most or all of these is a plus):

  • Two or more years of experience in a professional setting.
  • Interest in or knowledge of broadband and/or telecom industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to shift between multiple projects and tasks each day.
  • Self-directed and able to work and communicate efficiently and effectively as part of a remote team.
  • Flexibility to take on new tasks and manaage priorities based on changing client requirements.
  • Familiarity with desktop research and analysis using spreadsheets and similar tools.
  • Experience working with grants or other public funding.
  • Experience in broadband deployment and planning preferred.

This position is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support multiple local, regional, and state broadband infrastructure planning and implementation projects.
  • Prepare materials for client grant applications and grant administration, including written reports, memos, financial reports and analysis, summaries of monitoring activities, recommendations, and other deliverables.
  • Participate in and coordinate client meetings, capture meeting notes, and present materials under the guidance of an experienced manager.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform recommendations for broadband planning and implementation as it relates to grants and funding applications and plans.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze data and materials received from clients.
  • Review grant budgets and expenditures, and their supporting materials, to ensure they align with program guidelines and applicable state and federal rules and regulations
  • Document issues and challenges associated with grants using clear and concise language and specific evidence and examples
  • Work with subject matter experts and project team to keep on schedule with all deliverables.
  • Interface with GIS, engineering, and other teams within CTC to incorporate cross-functional elements appropriate to each project.
  • Draft reports and deliverables and circulate among project team, subject matter experts and editorial staff for review.
  • Assist project leaders with budgets and timelines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
