Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for greeting and serving guests according to established recipes and standards while maintaining cleanliness of the outlet throughout your shift. Barista's will also accurately total, process and collect payment utilizing the POS system. Additional responsibilities include ensuring products are stocked, rotated and stored properly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety guidelines.
• Manage inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred.
• Previous experience cash handling and order processing are essential.
• Experience with POS systems or cashiering is beneficial.
• Strong guest service skills and communication, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• A strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment will contribute to your success in this role.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is an asset.
• Must be available to work a variety of all shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call)
• Must be able to stand and walk to extent periods of time
